I am one of Maitreyi maashi’s student, Rishabh. Before enrolling for her classes, I knew some letters but didn’t know how to form the words or understand their meaning. I was also not really fond of learning Bengali. I signed up because my mom was encouraging me to try it.

Having attended Maitreyi maashi’s lessons for three semesters, I can confidently say that if you are looking for a Bengali teacher, you have come to the perfect place. Maitreyi maashi sparked the interest of learning Bengali in me. She makes learning a fun exercise by using picture cards, narrating stories with gestures and giving us interesting homework by asking us to watch a movie sometimes! She constantly challenges us students to keep doing better but always patient and encouraging when we need extra help.
For somebody who knew only a few letters, she helped me improve my vocabulary with consonant blended letters such as ‘shobdo’ and ‘Golpo’. I now can read fairly well and recite difficult poems with better diction.
Learning new languages will help the brain grow and increase verbal and non-verbal intelligence amongst several other skills. Be part of her class and improve your overall ability and be better you.
P.S. If you are taking virtual lessons, do not mute your mic or turn off your video. She will still call on you.

I love Bangla class it is so fun.When I joined I was happy but I was also scared.We first learned how to spell our names in bangla.Then we learned all bangla letters.It was hard to memorize but it was fun.we learned poems and then recited.
It was hard but had fun.Then we did a shrutinatak where everyone had their own parts!
That was so hard for me because I was the main character!Then we learned about compound letters those were little hard but also easy. Our teacher is Maitreyi Masi.We love Maitreyi Masi and all the activities we did together, those were fun!Maitreyi Mashi would always tell us stories. Those stories would be so long but those were so cool !
